JUST NOT THAT EASY

And More

This time decided that I need help - some serious help!
Well, I did very well on my own for like 3 months before, but when it is just You, it is hard. That is why I decided to pledge to Mamavation to become a supporter for others and get support for myself. Thank You for being here and let's do it together!

Back for More!

Farm road in Champaign County, IllinoisImage via WikipediaIt has been a really long time time since I wrote anything and yes, that means, that I am back to late night snacks and off my exercise routine. I know it's bad. However, if I was on the market for excuses, I would pick these two: I was very active with kids over the summer going to the pool and that is a good activity. I also got on the bike. That was my very last step I was working on. Even so I stopped doing everything else, I was on the bike for 2 hours a week. So great and therapeutic! 2 hours of the week my kids were in the trailer chained to my husband's bike and I could do with what ever speed I wanted.

However, I hope I am back. I will try to be committed and it feels more like I will try to kick my butt into doing things again.

Last week the road that I need to take to work was closed for railroad repairs, which made me sit in traffic for an hour instead of 15 minutes and gave me an idea to take a bike to work. So I did on Friday, got to work in 20 minutes, felt really good and enjoyed it. Would really like to do more of it. Also I am trying to cut back on eating after 9. I think two days out of 7 I didn't eat after putting kids to sleep.

However, my daughter's birthday left us with a big portion of cake, so I am not sure how this will work.

I have another idea. Ever heard about "bike to work once a week to help environment and your wallet?" I like the idea, but here on Midwest we can't do it for 6 months or so (November through March). But If you think that year has 52 weeks, and set a goal to bike 52 times a year, that would technically give me once a week. Since I can't bike all the way from home - it is far and I have to two kids, here is what I can do - take my van and go were I have to go, leave the van at some point, take a bike (have my clothes in the backpack) and cycle the last 3-6 miles. Not too bad. With a good weather I might be able to do 52 days in 2 months, but since I only have few good weather days left for riding, I can have a goal of riding a bike at least 11 days (for 11 weeks til the end of the year) starting it tomorrow. I hope we will have 11 days of good weather left.

Coming Clean

HenohenomoheImage via Wikipedia

Yes, I did fall off the wagon - I will try to now clime back on it. I have a lot of excuses and I can pick any one do defend myself, but the end word is - I haven't worked out in over two weeks. I half the time don't drink enough. I also haven't rode a bicycle or taken my supplementation.

I think, my success and going under 200 made me so happy, I decided I am done. Look at me - I do not need anything. I do move a lot after work - practically every day I get the kids and we go to the pool and a spray park. (The last couple summers were not all that great, so I feel that I have to use every hour of hot summer to enjoy it). Also my daughter, who is going through potty training right now, keeps insisting that she has to go potty every five minutes after she is in bed. Sometimes I think she is doing it on purpose, but couple days ago I brought her home late and she was passing out. My husband put her in bed and she was happy. 2 hours later I found her sleeping on the carpet next to the potty. Very adorable and weird at the same time. But enough excuses already - I have to get back on my weight loss pony, so here it comes

1. Continue writing, because otherwise, it is just not working
2. Supplementation
3. Workout

For obvious reasons I am overdue for my measurements, so this should be done this week

I love me!

Well, I don't get to say that enough. But for just a minute I'd like to say that I love me. The scales is slowly turning into the loosing mode. My last measurement made me say, Yey! Yesterday I got on the scales again and it said -1.3 lb. That puts me into under 200 zone and it feels great. I haven't been under 200 since my 8th month of pregnancy with my number 1 and that is at least 2.5 years, so I'm loving it.

Last two weekends I did get on the bike and rode it for 30 minutes or so, so, I guess, I did my next step and now just have to continue a great job. Yey me!

I am loving WII Active More workouts and it is so much cooler than the first one. The warm up is a combination of few exercises (in the first one it was mostly running and I hate running). As a cool off instead of running it is stretching and recovery. I overall like it a lot.

I recently came to the realization that I can actually run without hating myself. I might not like it much, but now I can actually run instead of doing this fast duck walk thinking I am going to start running...yes, I will...I need to stop and catch my breath...I hate myself...

So I loved my results and yesterday I actually put on a swimsuit instead of workout pants. It is a two piece that covers more than one piece, but it's a start. I can see that my legs are overall toned. I still have a long way to go, but my hips are not sad looking fat blobs and I proud of them.

Did I fall off the wagon?

Canada Day 3Image by bulliver via Flickr

I haven't wrote anything in a while. Does it mean that I miserably failed my challenge. Not really

Because of the trip to Canada I had a lot of catching up to do. Also the work kept me working and the baby is being teething really bad (today is Day 3 of his fever).

I skipped couple workouts last weekend, but, finally, yesterday I finished my 30 day challenge with WII Active. It is exciting and I decided to celebrate it with sandwich. I am joking, but I did have a sandwich and my body is not liking me too much right now.

Clearly, I am just over 2/3 of my challenge and 5 days overdue for the measurement. Will really try to do it this weekend and - oh, gosh - I still owed myself a bike ride. Forecast is promising rain for the next 6 days and that doesn't leave me too much of a chance.

However, I recently got WII Active more (second part of WII Active) at 50% off, so I would consider it my second reward. I also did some major clothes shopping. I can actually find some clothes in size medium that fits me. Yey me!

Today is the day I open my WII Active More and take a first look at it. This is is targeting more of a abdominal areas, but I am not sure if the cardio still there, so I might have to customize it, because I'd like to have cardio-abs-yoga/pilates combination, so I just might get creative

Back

Good news! I am back
Bad news! I gained 2 pounds

Maybe I wasn't supposed to get on the scales, but I did. Just wanted to get to see the results of my trip. Well, I had 4 ice creams - 3 of each I got in a form of my ice cream cake for my birthday.

My WII program said that I blew my challenge but I wasn't planning to take the game on the road with me. I had my hands full, but I am back now and the first thing I should get back on track
